      Deux Ponts . The 4. Arrondissement Mayence was RHEINHESSEN not PFALZ, but was too in the Departement du Mont - Tonnere . And this 4 Arron-
     dissements have KANTONE.
     Arrondissement KAYSERSLAUTERN : Göllheim, Kayserslautern, Lauterecken, Obermorschel, Otterberg, Rockenhausen,Winnweiler and Wolfstein.
     Arrondissement SPIRE : Dürkheim, Edenkoben, Frankenthal, Germersheim, Grünstadt, Mutterstadt, Neustadt, Pfeddersheim, Spire and Worms.
     Arrondissement DEUX PONTS : Annweiler, Homburg, Landstuhl, Medelsheim, Pirmasens, Waldfischbach and Deux Ponts.

En bref: de 1790 à 1815 le Palatinat (die Pfalz) était le département du Mont-Tonnerre avec 4 arrondissements, subdivisés en cantons. (détails ci-dessus )

Et Liselotte von der Pfalz - en français Charlotte-Elisabeth de Bavière, dite "La Palatine" - était la belle-soeur de Louis XIV, puisque mariée à "Monsieur" et la mère du Régent Philippe d'Orléans.
